What is the Cleanup Phase?

This is the last phase of your turn. Unlike the other phases, it always takes place.

The Cleanup Phase goes in this order:

1. Discard All Cards

In this step, all of your cards go to the Discard Pile. This includes:

• Played Cards and gained cards in your play area
• Cards left in your hand
• Cards placed in your play area for any other reason

(Some cards are exceptions and may not be discarded. Always follow the instructions on the card first.)

2. Draw Cards

Next, draw 5 cards from your Draw Deck into your hand.

• If your Draw Deck doesn't have enough cards, draw as many as you can, then shuffle your Discard Pile to form a new Draw Deck. Then keep drawing until you've drawn the remaining number of cards. (If there aren't enough cards to form a new Draw Deck, just draw as many as you can.)

3. End Your Turn

Your turn then passes to your Rival. Any Action Points, Extra Buys and Gems you didn't use this turn are lost.
