What Is Ranked Match?
Prove you're the strongest Duelist! Ranked Match is a Competitive mode where you put your Trophies on the line against well-matched rivals.
Seasons
Unless otherwise announced, each Ranked Match season lasts 3 months, and the monthly sub-seasons within it each run for 1 month. You can check Ranked Match schedules on the Event page.
- Season (90 days)
- Special season rewards, which reset every 3 months, can be claimed from “Ranked Rewards”.
- When a season ends, rankings are finalized along with the monthly settlement.
- Monthly (30 days)
- Currency and items that reset every month can be claimed from “Ranked Rewards”.
- When a monthly period ends, the following happens:
- Rank reset to Beginner
- A ‘Comeback Bonus’ is applied based on your highest tier from the previous season
After each season ends, settlement runs for a period of time, and ranked matchmaking may be restricted while settling.
Your First Ranked Match
Duelists entering Ranked Match for the first time start in the Beginner tier and receive 🏆 1000 Trophies, the points used in Ranked Match.
Choosing Candidate Duelists and Bans
Choose Candidate Duelists

At first you pick only 1 Duelist for Ranked Match, but from certain tiers you pick 2 or more Duelists before matchmaking. You can also pick Duelists you don't own, but only if you have at least 1 Trial Ticket item (Daily Trial Ticket + Trial Ticket). 1 Trial Ticket is used when you select one of your remaining Duelists after bans.
- If you don't have enough Trial Tickets left, you can't pick Duelists you don't own.
- If you don't own enough Duelists and don't have enough Trial Tickets, you can't enter matchmaking.
| Tier Range | Duelists to Pick in Advance |
|---|---|
| Beginner | 1 |
| Trainee to Rookie | 2 |
| Minor 1 to Minor 2 | 3 |
| Major 1 to Major 2 | 4 |
| Pro League | 5 |
Duelist Ban

Once a Ranked Match is found, each Duelist bans the Duelists they'd rather not face from those the Rival picked, based on the lower-tier Duelist's pick count. (Number of bans: enough that the Rival has (number of Duelists brought by the lower-tier player) - 1 left, minimum 1) Each Duelist then picks one of their remaining Duelists and the match begins. If only 1 Duelist remains, the match starts right away with that Duelist.

Tiers
Tiers are ranks given each monthly season based on your current form, and you earn rewards for every tier you reach in each season and sub-season.
Set Record

Every tier uses a system called “Set Record”.
- Each Victory or Defeat adds 1 to the count in your Set Record.
- Up to Major 2, the ‘Comeback Bonus’ applies: a win in the tier one below your highest tier from the previous season counts as 2 wins in your Set Record.
- The higher the tier, the higher the required win rate.
Promotion Match/Relegation Match

- From the Minor 1 tier onward, your Ranked Match results (Victory/Defeat) are recorded in your Set Record, and once you reach either the target number of wins or losses, a Promotion Match or Relegation Match begins.
- In a Promotion Match, a Victory promotes you to the next tier, and a Defeat keeps you in your current tier.
- In a Relegation Match, a Victory keeps you in your current tier, and a Defeat drops you to the previous tier.
- Once a Promotion or Relegation Match is over, your Set Record resets regardless of the result.
- From Beginner to Rookie, there are no Promotion Matches: you're promoted as soon as you reach the target number of wins, and there are no Relegation Matches.
- In the Master tier, no Promotion or Relegation Matches take place, and your tier is kept until the (monthly) reset.

Trophies
Trophies measure your skill across all seasons. You gain or lose them based on wins and losses, following the Elo rating system. (The number of Trophies you gain depends on the Rival's skill.) Trophies are kept and not reset even when a season ends. Keep collecting Trophies on your way to becoming the best Duelist!
Trophies are used for:
- Sorting the Ranked Match Rankings
- Matchmaking (rivals with the closest Trophy counts within your tier range are prioritized)
- Baseline for AI substitute rivals (fixed Trophies for each Difficulty)

Rankings
In the Rankings, you can check standings for This Season and all past seasons.
You can see the top 99 Duelists with the most Trophies, as well as your own rank. The full rankings only show Duelists who have played at least 10 matches.
The rankings show the following information:
- Rank
- Profile Picture
- Nickname
- Title
- Account Level
- Ranked Match Tier
- Trophies
- Most Used Duelist
